Steve Ludmerer has over thirty years of experience building specialty chemical, advanced material, and consumer products businesses. Steve is a leader who draws on his experience, your internal resources and a network of specialists. Steve often joins with Foresight Science and Technology, where he is Director, Commercialization Practice, to bring unparalleled market research and business strategy to clients in a cost-effective manner.

Steve’s career has focused on taking ideas, concepts and products from benchtop prototypes to multimillion dollar sales. In over two decades at DuPont and Dow/Union Carbide, Steve launched such well-known products as Teflon® finishes for cookware, Reach® toothbrush, and Tychem® and Barricade® protective apparel. In a four-year assignment in Asia, Mr. Ludmerer led DuPont’s business growth initiatives in a territory from Japan to New Zealand to Pakistan. After leaving the large corporate world, Mr. Ludmerer led three technology-based small businesses: an immunoassay diagnostics company, an instrument company, and an electronic materials company.

Steve has led teams to build businesses that are currently doing over $300 million in revenue, and he has raised over $30 million in public and private capital to finance his early stage companies. Mr. Ludmerer is the 2003 recipient of the Golden C award for his achievements in bringing new technologies to market. Steve holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and an MBA from Drexel University.
